Dynamics CRM 2011 Rollup 8 Released to the wild

Microsoft has released the long awaited Rollup 8 for CRM 2011 for download from the download center here.

It will be available for installation via Windows Update on May 22, 2012

There should be an SDK announcement out shortly.

Dynamics CRM 2011 Boot Camps – DC and Raleigh

Our Raleigh North Carolina CRM 2011 Boot Camp is in less than two weeks and the classes are almost full. There’s just a few seats left in most classes except for the CRM developers class (80295) which has only one seat left. If you’re planning on getting CRM training quickly, now’s the time to call us to book your seat. This event starts on Monday, April 23, 2012.

Our next CRM 2011 boot camp will be held in Chevy Chase, MD from June 18 through June 28, 2012. The early bird specials are currently in effect, but the interest that we’ve seen so far means that those discounts won’t last long. So if you’re looking for training in the Washington DC area, contact us right away.

Our training events are the best way to add competency to your team as well as to prep them for certifications. We typically see a 50-50 mix of partners and customers in our events, and we find that this mix adds to the benefit of all involved due to the interactions between registrants.

CRM 2011 Processes and Reporting Courses now available

Microsoft released new CRM 2011 courseware last month. The long awaited “Workflows and Dialogs Processes in CRM 2011 – 80444A” as well as a new topic, “Reporting in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 – 80445a” have been released.

Workflows and Dialogs Processes in CRM 2011 – 80444A is a one-day course to teach both workflows and dialogs. It replaces the 8003 workflows course for CRM 4.0. It is just in time for our upcoming boot camp in Raleigh, so we will be pleased to substitute it for the modified 80003 that we’ve been using while we were waiting for this course. It’ll be nice to start teaching processes rather than just workflows for CRM 2011, so I’m looking forward to teaching it in a couple of weeks.

Reporting in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 – 80445A is a new course to the CRM courseware. This is another one-day course that focuses on the reporting tools available in Microsoft dynamics CRM 2011. You can expect us to add this to our future boot camps as this is a welcome addition to the training we provide for Microsoft Dynamics CRM. CRM 2011 Service Scheduling Video Series Course Recorded

Today, I finished recording the second module in the long overdue Service Scheduling course (APSS) of our Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Applications video series. I know I had promised it sooner, so for those of you who have been waiting, my apologies. As always, it takes longer to finish in-house projects because our customers come first.

The two modules were sent to the editor today, and should be posted on our LMS site by next week. If you need access to the course sooner, e-mail me and let me know – I’ll see what I can work out for you. I’ll post again, once the final videos are loaded to the LMS site.

I worked with Larry Lentz on this project, he prepared the PowerPoint decks and I recorded the videos and the demonstrations. Nice job Larry!

On another note, Larry will be joining us for the Raleigh CRM 2011 Boot Camp in April as an instructor. We are looking forward to working with him!
